CEGS – CANCER EVADING GOURMET
Considering that Cancer Research UK and other cancer organisations and charities are quite literally ‘shoving’ cancer related stories down our throats, in order to get us to sit up and listen, they are unintentionally managing to fill the world with health terror!
We believe that stress is one of the major causes of cancer today. By being unable to avoid the word cancer, let alone the messages that these organisations are forcing upon everyone, it can trigger negative thoughts that then manifest into an uninterrupted stream of negative thinking. It’s true of course that everyone must be aware of the dangers of undetected diseases. However, we believe that the knowledge of cancer is now pretty huge across the world and to be coerced into a minute by minute education of the disease is no longer necessary. In fact, it can and, according to doctors we have spoken to, have quite the opposite effect as to what was intended!
Doctors have reported that the cost to the NHS is increasing day by day due to their patients insisting on scans for “what they think is cancer of the toe”. So many people of all ages – particularly beyond the 30 somethings are actually living in terror.
It isn’t surprising: almost every novel we read, articles in magazines (some are obsessed with cancer stories) TV shows, movies and even university educational articles contain examples of cancer! Don’t even get us started on TV and Cinema advertising! It’s time to STOP shoving cancer down everyone’s throat. We would like to see it reined in at least by 75% – the world will not forget – there is so much out there – people are drowning in the negativity.
It certainly isn’t a case of being unsympathetic: we have suffered many losses due to the disease. Now we are trying to remain stress-free and positive. Eating well, smiling, laughing and enjoying life are all vital aids to our well-being.
Any doctor will tell you – if you keep getting sick “change your lifestyle”. That’s exactly it. Avoid negativity, avoid stress and anxiety as much as possible and of course most importantly avoid poor nutrition.
On that note. The news is that we have launched CEGS!
C E G S – There is a lot of evidence to support how some nutrients aid cancer cure and there is a whole lot more to support which prevent cancer in the first place.
We wanted CEGS originally to stand for Cancer Eradicating Gourmet but we know so much more about those foods and drinks that will prevent and therefore help to evade cancer than we do about curing the disease. However, there are hundreds of doctors across the world that would support the belief that there are certain ingredients in food that will actually aid the cure of certain cancers.
You cannot start eating CEGS too young. The younger the better, of course. CEGS will bring a flexible menu to your table – it won’t include red meat or preservatives. It’s also not a typical fruit and veg diet – hardly – it even brings you cake and brownies. CEGS won’t cut out sugar or salt but it will be modest with those ingredients.
CEGS recipes will make you feel instantly fitter, healthier and responsible. We have eaten CEGS for the past three years and call ourselves Flexitarians. If we go to a gorgeous burger bar, for instance we will delve into a chunky bun (although easy on the white bread) full of chicken, fish or vegetarian loaf. We’ll eat ice-cream sometimes and even cakes and cookies. However, on the whole we take eating very seriously and carefully consider how it will affect us and our bodies and – MINDS.
There is so much more to talk about but for now we just wanted to bring you the news of our launch and share with you our hopes and dreams for a long, brighter future and above all help to prevent cancer in all of us. Please do try our recipes and stick to CEGS for at least a month and let us know how you’re doing. If there is any comments you wish to make, please do so and don’t hesitate to ask for advice. Also don’t forget to check out our CEGS nutrition support at the end of each recipe.
PS Please don’t get this wrong – we absolutely support Cancer Research UK and all they do in achieving great medical advances.
